"Our summer basketball camp is designed to develop you as a person as well as a player The West Virginia Coaching Staff, in coaches and guest speakers are present every day to help you learn the game.

Coach Catlett will be assisted by his entire staff, including Mel Hankinson, Lester Rowe, Drew Catlett, and Mountaineer Strength Coach Al Johnson. Also, members of the Mountaineer Men's basketball team and invited high school coaches and college players will be on hand to help teach campers the fundamentals of basketball.

Camp Information

Eligibility

All applicants must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and can be high school graduates.

Location

The camp is located on the Evansdale Campus of WVU in Morgantown, West Virginia, just 70 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Insurance

Campers must provide their own medical insurance. The camp has a professional medical trainer on duty at all times.

Cancellation

There will be a $50.00 cancellation fee to account for handling, time, etc. All cancellations must be in writing as no cancella- will be taken over the phone. All cancellations will be refunded after August Ist. If a camper should have to leave camp early, for medical reasons, the refund will amount to a prorate of room/board only

Discipline

Any serious violations of camp regulations will result in imme

diate dismissal from camp. If a camper is dismissed from camp,

there will be no refund of tuition.

What to Bring to Camp

A leaflet with camp registration and procedures will be mailed to you with your letter of acceptance.

Camp Features

Daily lectures from the West Virginia Coaching Staff. Topics include:

Mountaineer individual workout program Team drills

Academic advisor on NCAA initial eligibility

Weight lifting and conditioning instructions... learn weight lifting and conditioning techniques from the best strength coach in the country, Al Johnson, W.V.U. strength coach.

Accommodations ... Mountaineer Campers will be housed two to a room in the modern and air-conditioned Evansdale Residential Complex (ERC) (formerly called Towers) at West Virginia University.

Meals ... the Camp Dietician plans every meal to provide an abundance of wholesome and well-balanced food for campers that have an active schedule. Three all you can cat meals will be served daily in the ERC air conditioned dining room.

All activities will take place in our 14,000 seat Coliseum, the Shell, and Stansbury Hall (formerly Mountaineer Fieldhouse).

Optional recreational activities include swimming, free shooting, and individual contests.

The camp will be divided into three leagues: Varsity, J.V., Jr. High Each team will play three league games per day I, League tournament Daily practice sessions with your team.
