Cost
The total cost for an overnight camper Is $325.00 for an entire week. This includes three
meals a day in the UNC Charlotte Residence Hall Cafeteria, a room in the Residence
Halls and insurance. Each camper will also receive a camp basketball
and a camp T-shirt.Day Campers pay $255.00. This
Includes every- thing mentioned for the overnight camper other than a room and breakfast.
Day campers will eat a full lunch and dinner.
A $100.00 -registration fee must accompany each application. The fee is
non-refundable and will be credited toward the total tuition cost of each enrolled camper.
The remainder of each campers cost must be paid at registration.
A letter of confirmation will be mailed upon receipt of registration fee.
Discount prices of $300 (overnight) and $240 (day) are available for campers from the
same household.
Also available will be Nike and 'And I" merchandise.
General Information
There is one staff member for every 10 campers.
Swirnming is allowed once daily.
The "Game Room" is available during free time.
Nightly snacks are made available at the concession stand.
The Camp Store will be open daily.
Concession Stand in gym open daily.
Because of the availability of the aforementioned facilities, it is suggested each
camper bring a small amount of spending money.
it is recommended each camper enrolls with: 12 pairs of sweatsocks; one (1) pair of
good basketball shoes; six (6) t-shirts; three (3) pairs of gym shorts; one (1)
sweatsuit/shirt; two (2) pairs of jeans or slacks; three (3) athletic supporters; one (1)
pair of pajamas; one (1) raincoat; two (2) swim suits; four (4) towels; two (2) blankets;
shoots; pillow; pillow cases and toiletries.
Academy GROUPING
Campers at the UNC Charlotte Basketball Academy will be grouped according to age,
height, and basketbell playing ability. Our staff will do its best to allow
"advanced" campers to compete with older players to maximize the Academy's
impact. The campers' best interests are of the utmost importance in the staff's decisions. |

Who May Attend
Any boy between the ages of eight-and-17-years-old, may
attend the UNC Charlotte Basketball Academy.

Facilities and Benefits UNC Charlotte's Halton Arena is a perfect basketball camp
facility. It features 12 collegiate glass backboards, four full courts, a fully equipped
weight room (nautilus and free weights) and a beautiful Olympic-sized swimming pool
(available in the Belk Gym) that is fully staffed by qualified personnel.
The UNCCharlotte Residence Halls are air-conditioned and comfortably accomodate two
campers per room. The Residence Halls are staffed by experienced coaches who will assure
the safety of the Basketball Academy residents.
The camper will appreciate the excellent food, buffet style and all-you-care-to-eat, in
our on-campus Residence Dining Hall Cafeteria. The facility is run by the Marriott Host
Corporation, an excellent dining service both in product and reputation.
Check-In Information
Check-in is at the high-rise Residence Halls. Camper check-in is Sunday between 2:00
p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Day campers check-in at Halton Arena at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday night
Please come dressed for play. We will conduct our first camp session at 6:30 p.m.
Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 pm., MondayWednesday, and 8:30 am.- 12:00
p.m., Thursday.
Check-Out Information
All overnight campers check out at the Residence Halls on Thursday at 12-00. Day
campers check out at the Halton Arena at 12:00. |
