UAB BASKETBALL
1999 OVERNIGHT CAMP
The UAB Basketball Overnight Camp is an excellent opportunity to learn the finer points
of basketball in an exceptional learning environment. The Overnight Camp will be held at
Indian Springs School. Campers will be housed in the air-conditioned dormitories at the
beautiful Indian Springs School campus. The campus is located in Shelby County, just a
20-minute drive south of Birmingham on Highway 119. All sessions will be held in the
air-conditioned gymnasiums at Indian Springs.

NOTE TO PARENTS: Check in time is 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15. Check-out and
pick-up time is on Thursday, June 19. Awards Ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the
Indian Springs Gym on Thursday, June 19.

(includes noon and evening meals)
NOTE: A group rate will be available of $200 per camper for five campers attending from
the same school. However, the school's coach must submit the applications to the
Basketball Office at UAB.
ELIGIBILITY
A camper must be 13 years old and must not have begun his senior year of high school.
Camp Staff
Members of the camp staff will include all UAB coaches and high school coaches from
Alabama and surrounding areas.
Fill out the camp application and return with a $100 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT to:

Enrollment is guaranteed after receipt of the $100 deposit on or before June 1, 1997.
Any camper who leaves camp due to injury will receive pro-rata credit good for use at
future camps.
CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING
Balance of camp tuition ($150 overnight campers; $100 day campers) Signed doctor's
permission slip (note on doctor's stationery stating camper's health status) 2 half-size

There will be a "bank" in the concession stand for the campers' convenience.
Money can be put in the bank during check-in on Sunday afternoon. All money left in the
bank at the end of camp will be returned to the camper on Thursday before checkout. The
camp will be responsible for all money deposited in the bank. Otherwise, we cannot be held
responsible for lost money. The use of the camp bank if optional, but encouraged.
Each player participating in the overnight camp will receive a UAB/Adidas Camp T-shirt. |
